At some point in our lives, we embraced some behaviors that have harmful effects on our personal development. A few of these behaviors come from our families, our friends or society in general. It can be difficult to get rid of them. As time goes by, we start to believe that these behaviors are normal. If only...

We all have bad habits in our lives that prevent us from achieving our goals. This is without exception. Therefore, why is it so hard to change these negative behaviors? Especially when they are preventing us from fulfilling our dreams and self-fulfillment.

We all have behaviors that we need to change. Even with the best intentions, sometimes it seems impossible to reach our goals. The way we live prevent us from attaining our full potential. Be that as it may, we all have our small and bigger challenges to overcome!

The good news is that we do not have to remain this way. We can get rid of all these detrimental behaviors that prevent us from living a happy life.
We can change for the better…

Here are 3 steps to get rid of these bad habits:

1. Become aware of the bad habits in your life.

We have to be aware of the true condition that we are in. Furthermore, we have to do this without judging ourselves. It’s useless to try and justify our behavior. We do this, thinking that it will make us feel better! We can’t change without becoming aware of the true condition that we are in. This step is only referring to self-observation. Take the time to analyze the thoughts that amplify these behaviors. We have to examine, analyze and understand the reasons for their existence. Writing our observations in a note book is a good way to do so.

2. Study the causes and the negative repercussions of these behaviors.

Most of the time, we simply don’t know the direct and indirect consequences of the behaviors that ruin our lives. We have to research and study these behaviors or habits with no judgement. Knowledge is a genuine power. The more we learn about the consequences of these bad habits, the more we will understand the danger we are facing. This way, our subconscious receives electroshocks that will help us reprogram ourselves.
All behaviors are a product of the way our subconscious was programmed. All we have to do is reprogram it. Unfortunately, our families, our parents and society did not teach us how to work with the powerful tool that is the subconscious. It is our responsibility to make observations and reprogram ourselves. When our subconscious receives new information, it is able to make the necessary changes. Therefore destroying all the bad habits and replacing them with new ones.

3. Apply what you have learned with persistence.

Knowledge should not be a theoretical matter. It has to be put into practice. It is not always easy because our subconscious has the tendency to make us want to go back to our bad habits. Change requires a lot of sacrifices and sometimes it can be painful. However, with persistence, our subconscious will get used to a new reality and ultimately change our destiny!

Our subconscious reprograms itself by using repetition. The transition period may be hard. Nevertheless, once this period of time has passed, a new life presents itself!!!

Yes it is possible to change!
